This is my room in Cairo, rebuilt from a 3D scan. Most of my stories start here. Everything in it opens: the TV, the laptop, the journal on the bed.

Off camera, I'm Moussa.

I'm a filmmaker from Cairo. I direct, shoot, edit, write and score, and my favourite projects are the ones where I get to do all five.

Film has been the plan for as long as I can remember. I spent four years studying it in the UK, came home, and spent years making work for brands. I learned how to make things look good. Alwan reminded me why I wanted to make things at all.

Like Adel, I went back to what I loved as a kid and found the spark was still there. So that's what I'm chasing now: stories that speak to me, made with people who care as much as I do, with heart, patience and room to play.
